This event brings together the individuals who work across the spectrum of cardiovascular health – from research to patient care – and stimulates interaction within the cardiovascular community.
AiM will be hosting a workshop for cardiovascular and other health professionals, promoting visual literacy and reflection.

Professional Competency at McMaster University 2024
November 2024
Hamilton, OntarioThe Professional Competencies curriculum of the Michael G Degroote School of Medicine at McMaster University is interwoven throughout the 3-year program. This component of the curriculum enables the student to pull together the complexities of clinical practice: ethics, communication skills, self-reflection, health systems, interprofessional teamwork, and more.
AiM will be hosting a session on Narrative Medicine to the first year medical students.

Canadian Women in Medicine Conference 2025

Calgary, AlbertaCanadian Women in Medicine (CWIM) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to connecting and supporting Canadian women physicians, including women+, non-binary and two-spirit colleagues, in all aspects of their lives.
AiM will be delivering the keynote for this conference to 1000+ women physicians across Canada.

Art Analysis Session McMaster University 2024

Hamilton, OntarioAiM hosted a teaching session for first year medical students of the Michael G Degroote School of Medicine at McMaster University.
Participants closely read curated poetry and fine art, and had a fruitful reflective discussion regarding the work studied and its application to medical practice.

Transplant Fellow Teaching UHN 2024

Toronto, OntarioThe UHN Transplant Fellowship Program comprises of seven fellowships including heart, liver, lung and renal transplantation. Trainees from all fellowships participate in the teaching rounds including the Multi Organ Transplant Program clinical rounds.
AiM hosted a session on Narrative Medicine and Art Analysis to the Transplant Fellows.
